out at rhinegeist (for a farewell)

Rhinegeist BreweryMy dearest bud and wardrobe soulmate is moving to Arkansas. She got an amazing promotion with P&G and it’s totally great yadda blah whatever this is devastating.

But to send her and her husband off, their nearest and dearest gathered at Rhinegeist on Friday for a little socializing and farewelling. While I am familiar with what Rhinegeist is about, this was actually my first time at the brewery and it was exactly what I was told it would be. Huge, an open warehouse, up three flights of stairs, and seems to pop out of nowhere on Elm Street. The atmosphere was also exactly as I expected. Cool and laid back and not all that crowded given how spread out everyone could be. All of this made for a perfectly fun little evening. And I can’t speak for the beer because I actually didn’t order any (I’m more a wine and cocktail goer) but I will admit that I love their branding. I think it’s sharp and cool and different. I’m sold on the can’s outfit alone.

Again, the point of this trip was to send these two off in style. They will be deeply missed and all that could be there couldn’t love them more.
