Today I am beyond excited to introduce to you DEFINE body & mind, a barre, spin, and yoga-infused studio opened by two very sweet friends of mine, Mikel Quast and Tallie Neltner.
Now this is the first time I’ve ever done barre classes and I can see why everyone is obsessed. The classes are tough, but they produce results. And I’ve tried it all – P90X, crossfit, hot yoga, dance, marathons, sweat lodges – you name it, I’ve done it. But in the short short time that I’ve started working out at DEFINE, I can say I am already seeing results. I am simply more sculpted and toned in places I’ve never been before. I see a crop top in my summer future.
But where I think DEFINE really has its edge is with their revolution classes. These spin classes are unlike any that I’ve taken before because they are not just about cardio but rather a full body workout by infusing the class with their DEFINE body techniques. The class combines principles of isometrics, high intensity cardio blasting, ab work, and weights to provide an intense and comprehensive forty-five minute workout.
However, my favorite part about the class is that it is rhythm-based, with the routines choreographed to an always killer playlist. The lights are dimmed, if not completely out with only candles providing some glow, and I am usually just bouncing on my bike and singing along with the music. I’m obssessed with these classes. I work up a hearty sweat and I really escape all that I’ve got going on that day. It’s amazing.
So if you haven’t yet, you must head to DEFINE: Oakley and try these classes. The studio is beautiful and clean, the instructors (including Kenny who teaches rev!) are personable and positive, and the workouts will get you in the kind of shape that you’ve always wanted. I’ll see you there!

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one singing along in rev! Great post about the best fitness studio in Cincy :)
As a fitness blogger from Cincinnati (currently in DC), I loved reading about this beautiful boutique studio! I am always looking for new things to try when I come home to visit my parents, and this one is now at the very top of my list. Thank you for the review and the great tip!
