one cape, two ways

Boy, do I love this girl and this post.

Natalie is one of the first local bloggers that I met and instantly adored. While she has since relocated to Columbus, she was an integral part of the creation of Thread Cincinnati and we often talk about how much we miss her (and Annie too!).

But the internet is never too far away, so Natalie and I decided to virtually meet up and go in on a joint outfit post. We both are pretty obsessed with this BB Dakota cape and thought it would be fun to come together to show it off in new and fun ways.

I, for one, have always worn it to feel dressed up. I’ve also pretty much equated it in my mind to be something that was very holiday. But in an effort to utilize it more, I tasked myself to wear it for a dressed down look. And I am so glad I did because it once again has opened my eyes to all that it is cape-able of (stop. I had to). With stripes and lighter distressed denim and kicks, this is one spunky little get up for a casual day out.

So while I’m clearly rocking the casual look, Natalie is sporting it fabulously over at Natalie Was Here, so bounce on over there to check out her take on it!

So cute! I love how you’ve made the cape perfect for a casual weekend outfit, I always feel like capes are kind of dressy but you’ve shown you can wear one any time!
