Will the drape front jacket ever not be the perfect jacket?
I doubt it, I really doubt it. And it is so clear why – it is always flattering, always on trend, and always the outfit maker. I believe that a black drape jacket is the cornerstone on which all wardrobes should be built. And more than any other article of clothing, this one will always work, day and night.
Dressing for day is all about looking as casual and effortless as possible. Much like the messy bun (which takes quite a bit of craftsmanship to look just “thrown together”), adding a loosely hanging drape jacket to a graphic tee, pair of ripped denim, and neutral booties, makes an easy look look just right.
The main essentials of the day look can easily be transitioned to night with a quick trade of the top and the addition of some heels. The jeans just need to be unrolled, the crossbody swapped out for a clutch, and the shades switched for a solid pair of cat eyes. With that, the look goes from city flea to city drinks.
As if the case needed to be made for the drape jacket, we’ve got it here working overtime, day and night, proving once again, its worth.
