This little splurge treat I picked up from the City Flea is one that I just have to share. I like it not only because it looks like a much more delicate version of a Kate Spade that I’ve had my eye on, but because it is handmade by a local funeral director-turned-jewelry designer. Nothing beats that kind of story and nothing beats a perfectly simple, layerable necklace to add to my collection.
But better yet, this was one that I went back to pick up after checking out all other items, booths, and vendors. And while I loved the bow, I wanted it on a longer chain than it was initially on. That was no problem at all, and after a custom order, it showed up on my doorstep just days later. That kind of service, turn around, and quality is exactly why you shop local.
