I want to start this off by sensitively addressing that I understand there are obviously way bigger things currently going on in the world. I myself am working on navigating what this all means, what this all looks like, what we all should and should be doing for ourselves and each other. I, like many, am definitely struggling with the uncertainty of it all, but I am trying to do what I safely can in order to maintain any semblance of normalcy. So with that, I have this space and am moving forward with sharing what I planned to have shared today.
Last week (which I alluded to on Instagram) I had the opportunity to get a sneak peek at some wildly exclusive Hermès Birkin bags set to hit Everything But The House Spring Landmark Sale. Before they arrived, I had a hard time wrapping my head around how nice they would be, but once I had them, I realized they were as impressively impeccable as imaginable. These bags are no joke.
Now for those unfamiliar, Everything But The House is a full-service consignment resource for homeowners, collectors, dealers, and businesses interested in selling their merchandise online to a global following of 1.9 million registered bidders on the hunt for unique items. EBTH holds semi-annual sales that showcase very unique collections of products that are swoon-worthy to collectors and curious shoppers.
Currently two most notable items of personal interest to us in this sale are the Hermès Birkin 35 satchel in Noir Ardennes leather and the Hermès Birkin 30 Tressage Gold Swift Satchel.
The Hermès Birkin 35 satchel in Noir Ardennes leather has dual rolled handles, gold plated hardware, double strap and turnlock closure, and protective studs to the base. The Black Chevre leather lining features a sidewall zipper pocket and a sidewall slip pocket. A signature H padlock and leather clochette with key is attached.
The Hermès Birkin 30 Tressage Gold Swift Satchel is a limited-edition gold swift, bleu du nord and bleu indigo Epsom leather Tressage handbag that comes equipped with palladium hardware handcrafted in 2019. The interior is lined in Gold Chevre leather with a sidewall zipper pocket and sidewall slip pocket.
These bags are biddable, and FYI, bids begin at $1…
Now again, know that both myself and ETBH are aware and sensitive as to what is currently going on, so in response to the latest news about Coronavirus (COVID-19), ETBH is taking precautions to ensure the safety and wellness of their customers, employees, and consignors. The normal Spring Landmark Collection preview event is being reorganized to an appointment only event.
If interested, you will have the opportunity to see these amazing items in person at EBTH’s Warehouse located at 6000 Creek Road in Blue Ash by appointment only March 19th, 20th, and 21st. Individual appointments will be available from 11am-3pm each day by calling (888) 985-4895 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Again, posting to the internet from the safety of my couch is just one way that I can maintain some mental normalcy, which is why I am here to share these details. This may be a time when something wildly special also happens, and so with that, I leave you with the Birkins…
