why of course you can

NeonsJust like Gatsby, I repeated the past this weekend.

Friday night, I went to Neons, A Tavola, and Rhinehaus. Saturday night, I went to Neons, A Tavola, and Rhinehaus. Even better (and in the spirit of full disclosure) I wore the exact same outfit.  (That part wasn’t entirely intentional. I wore this great new top Friday night not thinking I’d be going out Saturday night but I did know that I was going to wear it to this Saturday day thing and then I ended up going right out after that thing. Whatever, it happened. Outfit post of that one is coming tomorrow.)

Both rounds on both nights were great but here’s the official break down from Friday night’s version.

Started at Neon’s, which of course was awesome because the weather was gorgeous. The best part? I discovered my newest favorite summer cocktail – cucumber and watermelon infused vodka with soda water, fresh squeezed lemon juice, and a splash of simple syrup. I only had three (in a span of not a lot of minutes). Delish. Will be taking to the beach next week.

A Tavola is not new to the blog, but this time I was able to get a number of good shots of the number of good treats that we enjoyed. That list includes an aperol cocktail, bacon wrapped dates, the asparagus and feta, the fig and proscuitto, and the sausage and sage pies. I’ll give you two guesses as to whether or not we thought it was awesome. You’ll only need one.

Nothing beats a Sunday Funday with those guys, BYOB, pulled pork, and jalapeño cheddar grits. It was their first time but as we left, they were already talking about their next visit.

So not only did I repeat the past, I also got a glimpse into the future.

[…] Is that weird? No it’s not because it is just so awesome. With peplumly-pleating that starts on the sides and a nearly entire sheer back, this number kicks so much ass. (I promised myself I would never curse on this blog, but there’s no other fitting way to explain it.) Furthermore, the bib-like panel in the front that allows for some sheer peeks on the sides and sleeves makes for just the most perfectly sexy top. Now do you see why I wore it two days in a row? […]
