Like most things I fall in love with, I first saw this skirt on my fav. I searched the interwebs high and low for it, but I couldn’t find it anywhere and figured it would remain a distant dream. Then one day while perusing Dillards I saw it. On a sale rack. I grabbed it and charged immediately to the counter. I was so excited. When I got home, I tried to follow Atlantic-Pacific’s lead and pair it with blacks and camels but I could never quite make it work with what I had. Black on the top with black tights was a little too bodysuit. My browns, nudes, and camels were all just off with the pale panels in the skirt. Bright colors were too much. But I never gave up hope. What I should have figured out a long time ago was that of course a chambray button down would do the trick. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times. Chambray makes everything work.
