Per a great suggestion from a coworker (sup Nate), today I’m talking about upcoming plans and outfits, instead of posting about plans I have had after the fact, in order to give you a heads up about what to do, and of course, what to wear.
Saturday, I’m heading out with my mom for her birthday. Like all things in her life, she planned ahead. It was weeks ago when she told me exactly what she wanted to do: perch up at The Precinct bar, order their signature Freddie Salad, shrimp cocktail, and have a few glasses of wine. Sounds perfect because the bar itself is very cool, darkly rich, comfortable, and open, and all that she wants to order are can’t-go-wrong options. If you are at all familiar with Jeff Ruby’s Precinct, you know it’s a steakhouse, but neither one of us are huge steak fans, which is why salad and seafood appetizers are all that we’d want. I’m already thinking I’ll spring for some oysters as well. Treat yo self.
As far as outfits go, I will definitely be heading towards the dressier end. I like to do it up given that this is such a nice spot. I plan on layering some of my staple pieces: black pants, button down (buttoned to the top), patterned crop jacket, a clutch that pops, all with heels, pendant necklace, and deep lipstick. These moves will make me feel ritzy and ready to hit the town, which is exactly what we are planning to do.
So enjoy yourselves this weekend. If you do anything particularly fun, or wear anything particularly great, feel free to send it my way for a feature!
