This outfit is part everything I’m used to doing and part new territory due to my new territory (Bump Land USA).
The black and white and polka dot and cardigan is one hundred percent in my wheelhouse. In fact, the tee is an absolute favorite of mine, one that I scored at Old Navy back in the fall. If they put out fifteen versions of it, in various prints and colors, I’d snatch up every last one and not even bat an eye. It’s just too good because it is loose, hangy, worked for my pre-body, working post-body now…all that makes it an absolute staple.
This skirt is a look that I have been really into now that I have an ever-growing midsection. I’ve sported a very similar version before, but I’ve been hoarding this one for “dressier occasions.” Turns out, those have not been cropping up like they used to. So it has been my mission to make this work for work, or just more casually, and I might be on to something here with the layers, pattern-mix, and pop of color. I feel like this is heading in the right direction.
Loft cardigan (similar here, here, and if you’re rich) | Old Navy tee | Shakuhachi skirt (a striped version at a joke price or a great colored option with a more serious price tag) | Kate Spade bag (the summer work version) | Karen Walker sunnies
