skull cashmere

Let’s talk about a statement cashmere.

On the one hand, when I think about cashmere, I think the only way to do it is to do it as a neutral. Go with a solid that can go with anything and everything so that you can get the mileage. But on the other hand when I think about cashmere, I also find myself understanding it as both a splurge and an investment no matter what, so why not go for something bold? The later part of that justification won out while on a recent visit to Sara Benjamin’s.

While I was there, it was nothing but cashmere sweaters in my dressing room. And true to my philosophical form, there was a solid, a stripe, and then this bad boy. While I was initially drawn to the cool random scattering of graphics, it was ultimately that little skull lady in the corner that had me at hello.

I’ve honestly already worn the heck out of this sweater and I’ve got no plans to slow down. I also hope to bring it back to the blog many times over to show you all the ways I’m styling it, so that you too can see how a statement investment cashmere can go a long long way.
