The mileage I have gotten out of this sweater has even surprised me.
I bought this on a black Friday shopping bender while in Chicago, and at the time, I wasn’t entirely sure about it. It was my last purchase of the day and I was craving a cozy sweater, and I landed on this one not fifteen minutes before needing to meet up with the group to make dinner reservations. While I was in the dressing room speed trying on, I sorta liked it enough to at least buy it and then return later if I ended up not really feeling it.
However, I ultimately wore it out that night, and have been wearing it out almost every night (and day) since. It is at the point where when I emerge from my closet, Kenny says “again?” to which I respond “uh yeah.”
But here is why. One, it is super cozy. I sized up one size in order to create that ever-awesome slouchy fit. Then two, the ruffle cut out holes are actually the exact right amount of twist and detail that I find myself searching for when adding to my closet. I am inching closer and closer to having a pretty minimalist capsule collection, because I do tend to stick to solids and neutrals, and because of that, I am constantly on the hunt for things that fit that aesthetic while also having a touch of something special. These little fluttery wing cut outs do just that. Finally, I have found that this can feel both good as something that is dressy and something that is casual, which is always a win-win in my book.
That is all why this sweater has won the “Again?” Award over and over.
