out at the bonbonerie cafe

June 20, 2014

The Bonbonerie CafeYesterday I grabbed lunch with Natalie of cincinnatalie, an adorable and relatively new Cincinnati blogger. I reached out to her in an effort to connect with other local bloggers and of course, she was as nice as the day is long. We talked blog shop and ideas and life and just had ourselves a nice little first date.

It was actually Natalie’s recommendation that we meet at The Bonbonerie Cafe. I was definitely familiar with The Bonbonerie as a bakery and assumed they only served up carrot cake and lemon squares. Boy was I wrong. Their adjoining cafe is utterly adorable and utterly delicious.  We splurged with pre-lunch cappuccinos and then each ordered a meal for lunch. I opted for their chicken salad platter and Natalie went with the grilled artichoke burger. I love me some good chicken salad and this will now go down as the best chicken salad I’ve ever had. In fact, I think I was mid-sentence when I stopped and said oh my god this is delicious. I cannot wait to go back and order by the pound.

Everything looked incredible and the options were countless. I was being stupidly conservative and chose not to splurge on anything, but I am kicking myself for not getting one of those lemon squares because I know they are just the tastiest. It was my only regret.

You’ll definitely love it.
