Mitchell’s Salon and Day Spa is top notch, but they just raised their own ante in my book.
A few weeks ago I was invited to attend a private blogger event, where the Kenwood location was closed to the public in order to treat a number of local bloggers. I unfortunately had to miss out due to Louise having been born like five minutes before the event, and while I thought that was totally my loss, they followed back up and still treated me to the swag bag box of serious beauty goodness. That is how you win a young woman’s heart.
What I don’t think the folks at Mitchell’s realized is how bad I needed these products. This all happened last pregnancy time, but my hair is thisclose to breaking off in tuffs, and my face is as dry as the Sahara. Which is why I was giddy to find color-treatment shampoos and conditioners, heat-treatment sprays, dry finishes, hair oils, and flexible hair sprays, as well as face oils, lotions, and polishes for my skin. While I’ve dabbled with it all, I’ve got to give big ups to the Bumble and Bumble Primer Spray and Invisible Oil, as well as the Oribe face oil – those guys are making me feel nourished and moisturized from mop to finger top.
Their kindness is going a long way even though I missed out on that very special morning of pampering because I have a list of names to call when it comes to hair, nail, and/or massage appointments, so you know I will definitely be heading in shortly to book a service. And when I do, I’ll be posting up a storm.
