neon statementI have a wish-I-could-love/hate relationship with Forever 21.  There are countless times when I compliment an adult (yes, to be clear, adult) on what she’s wearing and she screams Forever 21!  I immediately get annoyed because I wonder how she can waltz in there and find a perfectly adorable polka dot cardigan and all I ever to seem to find are glittered crop tops with cats silk screened on them.

I do realize some cities have excellent Forever 21s, but I’m not convinced our Kenwood version ranks.  And I’m fully aware that my problem is I usually decide to head there on a weekend, when it’s overflowing with tweens and metallic cheetah print and fringe and cut outs, but I did learn a trick.  Go there at night in the middle of the week.  Like a Tuesday.  Chances are you’ll have space to breath, time to pick things over without running into a student, and an opportunity to find something decent.  This sweater is the perfect example of that tactic.DSCF1414

I’m glad that you also have a love/hate (but mostly hate) relationship with Forever 21! When I shopped there, I always ended up with ill-fitting sparkly outfits in the dressing room that reminded me of a hipster Lisa Frank. Sounds like I’ll have to try it late at night, all while avoiding being seen by students. Loving the outfits on your blog!
