Today we have Olivia of Hunt & Harvest. Discovering her blog is one of the prouder moments of my life. She’s super hip, hilariously cool, and sharply endearing. The makings of blog genius.
Hello! To start things off, I’m Olivia and I blog mostly about style, food and hip hop over at Hunt & Harvest. I’m from Cleveland but once I went to Cincinnati to see Beyoncé and it was life changing, so hello to any of you from the Queen City! I’m yet to meet Katie in real life but I do know that she is super nice and her hair always looks impeccable.
One day, I’ll also be a 100% grown woman with a “hairstyle,” but for now, I have health insurance and an even more important skill – wearing cut-offs without looking like a preteen.
You have to walk before you can run.
To start, try to avoid any shoes that you could also wear to the beach. You want something hearty. Boots, simple sneakers, low heels and flats are all solid choices. Just say no to shower shoes outside of the shower.
Wear your most modest top. Steal a sweater from a man, or pick whatever you own that is the opposite of sexual. Your legs can do most of the talking. This one gets bonus points for being multi-seasonal.
Luxe fabrics are the key here. Would a twelve year old waltzing around the mall be caught dead in “a blouse?” Highly unlikely. Top it off with suede boots a la Emmanuelle Alt.
Just remember, no flip flops. Please.
