Layering gold necklaces, those both subtle and more statement, has always been a steadfast trend in general, but it has definitely always been pretty much my only move when it comes to jewelry.
I currently have a small collection of simple strands, a number of which don a K initial, and yet the best part about those necklaces is the fact that pretty much every single one has been a gift from a friend or friends. It really takes a village ya’ll.
While I usually have at least one initial necklace happening, I do love to start the layer with a bit of texture, like the Kendra Scott Abbie strand. I will then usually default to my fav from Capsule (thanks Britt and Linds!) (similar here or here) or this Gorjana Parker chain (thanks Nicole!) with add on initial pendant (thanks April!). I also love the ideas of looks like this or these, but when it comes to the most simplest of subtles, this AURate piece is my most favorite.
Either way, having a collection of necklaces both big and small makes any look complete. Sometimes the layers and the textures are the point and the show. Sometimes you just need that barely-there final touch to make something super casual just a tad more polished. Either way, gold necklaces are the way to go.
