eyelet top

While I’ve been waging quite the war against pants (exhibit A, B, C, and D), they’re obviously undeniably necessary when you find a good top that you can (and want) to sport.

I’ll always give an eyelet top a hard double take, especially when it has some sleeves that swing, some unrestricting length, and some flattering peplum detail in the back. But what ultimately sealed the deal for me and this one is that it looks solid with dark denim and a black tank underneath, but I’ve also got plans for putting it over white and/or nude to then wear with some recently purchased white denim, so stay tuned for that. I think that iteration will breath some new summer life into this one, while also potentially making it feel like a whole new top. That is what makes a good top a good top.

Ann Taylor top (on sale!) | James Jeans (maternity) | J.Crew Factory flats (this pair or this pair would be fun to have, or these since it is summer) | Gap tote (really liking this one) | Le Specs sunnies (literally, my favorite)
