cincinnati premium outlet + susan g komen recap

This is one I have been talking about, and will continue to talk about, for a long time to come.

Again, last weekend I was invited to be a host and style supporter for three breast cancer thrivers on a Cincinnati Premium Outlet shopping spree. Each of the three recipients – Jean, Kathy, and Karyn – were nominated and chosen by the local Susan G Komen chapter, and together, we bounced in and out of stores, trying on all sorts of clothes and talking spring style galore. Each gal came in with at least one idea as to what she could shop for – one for graduation parties on the horizon (looking at you, Jean), one for a son’s upcoming summer wedding (woohoo Kathy!), and one for some hitting-the-town duds for a soon-to-be beach getaway (Karyn, you lucky dog). With those events and ideas in mind, we sashayed from dressing room to dressing room, from Saks Off Fifth to J.Crew Factory, Cabi to Ann Taylor, and in the end, everyone walked away with looks for their respective occasion, as well as new pieces and style to take into spring.

The absolute best part about the entire day was how positive, open, and receptive each woman was. Not only did each share her story, and furthermore share that while their experiences have been nothing short of difficult, they have also had positive impacts on their lives and paths, they were also simply just so down for the day of shopping. I think each woman went a little outside her comfort zone, willingly trying on looks that they may not have otherwise (if nothing else to humor me), and all walked away with some kind of newly scored piece. I so enjoyed being able to talk both life and style with these three for the day. Whether it was talking blouses or bottoms, chemo or radiation, each and every woman was open to sharing her experiences from beginning to end. The day was simply filled with nothing but positivity, and I was utterly honored to be along for the ride.

So thanks again to Cincinnati Premium Outlets for giving all of us quite the exciting opportunity because it was such a blast.
