casual blues

April 24, 2017

While I wouldn’t consider myself the “always overdressed” type, I also wouldn’t necessarily consider myself the most casual cat either.

However, I feel like I am constantly on the hunt for that effortlessly comfortable look. Those tops and those shoes that you can just throw on with those jeans to feel like you’ve put in some noticeable effort but without being all that noticeable. And if there were ever a time that I’ve been craving that more, it is has been during this season of change (while also in the midst of this personal season of growing-a -baby change).

So with all that in mind, I have to admit that I’ve found myself in this uniform many a times already. While initially unsure of a peplum top with a bump, I’ve actually found that I’ve been more into it than I would have thought. (Although full disclosure, every time I wear it and then share with someone that I’m pregnant, I get that I was wondering but didn’t want to ask… response. That can be awkward but at least the truth is yes I am pregnant (and it thwarts off that uninvited touching.))

But furthermore, the best thing I’ve got going on are these slip ons that I wanted from forever ago. Thanks to the Shopbop semi-annual sale, I snagged them at a bit of a discount and have been sliding into them ever since. With those on my toes, and that top on my top, I took the opportunity to round everything out in blue. All that combined and it is a casual combo that I’m into.
