Towards the end of vacation, it finally started feeling vacationy.

Which is when I promptly styled this Bené shawl…a brightly colored, loosely-flowing printed piece that was the perfect accent for a night near the water listening to live music. But as much as I like this piece, I like Bené’s mission more.

Bené is clothing company run by long time best friends who decided to work together to make a positive and sustainable difference in the lives of young women in Ghana. Bené started as a collection of scarves inspired by the culture where it all began and has been committed to providing an education to girls in Ghana by sponsoring tuition, books, supplies, and uniforms for the girls to continue their education and fulfill their dreams ever since.

Each print is named for a girl who they will support through graduation with their profits. They currently have five prints and five pieces, and any combination of print and piece can be ordered. From infinity scarves to kaftans, the goal behind Bené is to provide beautiful style, which ultimately supports a beautiful cause, and that makes it all the better.

Bené would like to extend a discount to OUT + OUTFIT readers with the code OUT&OUTFIT for 15% off your purchase now through Monday the 13th. How could you not love that?! So hop on there and check it all out!
