I have been on the hunt for a good black diaper bag backpack since Harry was born (two years ago…).
Here have been my issues – either the backpacks have been too functional and practical or they’re too fashionable and unpractical. The too functional and practical ones are either really kid-looking, with lots of exterior cargo pockets and thick and padded straps. The too fashionable ones look more sleek, but appear to be smaller, with more drawstrings than not, and too thin of straps.
So in my search that has stretched far and wide, has gone on for forever and a day, and has only since ramped up with the incoming of another, I came across Babymel. When I discovered their Robyn backpack, I felt like I finally found the one that satisfied both my functional and fashionable needs. Below is everything I am liking about this backpack…
The exterior fabric is made of durable canvas, with water resistant backing and faux leather trim. It can be wiped off quickly and efficiently, which helps keep it looking nice. While there are exterior pockets, they are subtle and kept tight to the bag, which I appreciate because then they are functional without being obtrusive. The top center zip design is also a smart one because then it can be propped open, making getting in and out easy. However, the best part has to be the convertible straps, that take the bag from a backpack to shoulder bag, to even a crossbody, in the easiest transition (simply grabbing it by the leather handle). There are also a good mix of practical perks, like a number of interior pockets, a changing pad, an insulated bottle holder, and adjustable stroller straps. All that combined makes this diaper bag backpack one that I am super excited to finally have found.
So if you are like me and all about having functional fashion, then I think you’ll be very much into the Babymel backpack for all your diaper bag needs. This backpack does come in three different color designs and is definitely a popular one, as all three are currently on pre-order. However, when I put in for mine, it too was on pre-order and was here before I knew it, so don’t hesitate to get your name on the list for the backpack that suits all sorts of good needs!
