Last week, I was invited by Saks Fifth Avenue to come style spring looks and do some on-site blogging. My heart rate has been at full-sprint speed since then.
It was amazing. I am trying to come up with the non-cliché equivalent for the kid-in-a-candy-shop analogy. What’s the phrase for what it feels like to spend an afternoon surrounded by all of the most glorious splurges you could ever imagine, that you then get to drape all over yourself, things you fall into even deeper love with, things you would consider black-market selling your kidney to have? Whatever that is, take that times a hundred and that is how it felt.
I ultimately put together five looks and all will be featured shortly, but I had to start with this one. I came in wanting to find something light blue and was drawn to this sweater immediately. The dip-dye makes just the most subtle statement and I could see myself wearing this once a week for the next fifty years of my life.
I have also been on the lookout for a pair of white skinnies. If and when spring and summer ever decide to make an appearance, I have a number of tops that need a good pair of white bottoms to go with and these may or may not be the perfect pair.
And. The. Wedges. The wedges that I have thought about ever since I left? To die for. Joie is a brand that I lust after and these wedges just shot to the top of my list. You know they would be the most perfect compliment to any look you have going on, something as casual as shorts and a sweater (coming soon), all the way up to a jumpsuit that is begging to be taken out for drinks (also coming soon). Everyone. We should own these shoes.
If you can’t already tell, this was an amazing opportunity and I had an absolute blast. And if you are liking what you see here, let’s make a date to head downtown to Saks to snag some goods as soon as possible. It’ll be awesome.
